Just a pair of earrings

Wow,it's been a while since I last blogged, so please bare with me. First of all I would like to welcome you to my site. The main purpose of creating this was to save you money and allow you to get creative, because ever since I was a child I always love making things for people. So I thought it would be nice to teach others how to create interesting and beautiful things for themselves!! So that the gist of it.

As a Urban Outfitter fan, I always adore their clothing and accessories.
One day I found a interesting pair of earrings that were crochet. I though this is cute and was about to purchase them, but as you know things in at UO can get pricey. I thought to myself that I could probably make these myself or something similar to them. So in the end I decide not to purchase it. I did some research and found pattern on how to crochet a pair of earrings.
The picture above is a pair I made myself. These earrings were designed by Julie. A Bolduc, I found it at this website
http://www.jpfun.com/patterns/free/jewelry/f107008daintyearrings.shtml

You can download the file itself or view it in it's HTML form. The earrings themselves are fairly easy, so I believe this is a great project for beginners.

I suggest that you learn the basic stitch for crocheting by going to youtube.

Here is the list materials and step on how I made my earrings:

Materials:
  • 1 Ball of Aunt Lydia's "Fashion Crochet Thread" Size 3 (white or your choice)
  • 2 Wire hook earrings (not shown on picture, sorry ran out ^^:)
  • 1 size 2 steel crochet hook
  • 2 shell bead (optional)

Okay this might look intimidating but I'll take you step by step.

Also here are some abbreviations for crochet pattern:

Ch- chain

sl- slip stitch

sc-single crochet

dc-double crochet

pic-picot
